Arranging for Guitar

A good arrangement often begins with a concept – perhaps an altered rhythm or reharmonization – or you might simply wish to preserve the original feel of the tune, but adapt it to guitar. Recording artist Alex de Grassi has been arranging and composing for guitar for over 30 years, and in this workshop he will walk through one of his own arrangements and present various methods for bringing a tune to life on guitar.

Bring your guitar, a notebook, and anything you wish to arrange. If you already have an original arrangement – complete or in progress – Alex will listen to you play and offer comments and suggestions. This workshop is geared towards acoustic fingerstyle players, but is open to classical and electric players as well.

With: Alex de Grassi
Time: 2 to 4 pm
Fee: $60.00
